Resilience Workshops

Learn to bounce back from hardship by accepting what can't be changed, problem solving what can, and continuing to do your best when self-doubt gets in their way.

Everyone gets stuck sometimes. Stuck with critical self-evaluations. Stuck doing the same thing over and over even though we don't like the results. Stuck with pain and unable to find the joy and vitality in life.

Imagine developing the ability to recognise when you are stuck, and flexibly shifting perspective and approach to rediscover that vitality and purpose. Imagine growing up with these abilities…

These workshops build psychological flexibility – the ability to get unstuck.

Our Personal Strength Resilience Workshops use an evidence-based model of psychological flexibility (DNA-V, a developmental ACT model, © DNA-V, L. Hayes & J. Ciarrochi, to work through real problems. To learn more about the DNA-V model, check out the first three episodes of the Personal Strength Podcast. Especially Episode 3: ACT therapy for Teenagers and Episode 4.

Workshops are designed and run by Dr Nicole Weeks. Nicky s a PhD and Masters qualified psychologist and has been teaching and researching positive psychology (the science of understanding what helps people thrive) since 2008.

The next scheduled workshops are:

  • Children (8-12 year olds) Monday 12th July 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Teenagers (13-17 year olds) Monday 12th July 1:30pm-3:30pm

Cost: $80 for teenagers (includes a book), $55 for children

For Adults, we have a self paced, online course that you can work through alone, or with your family. The course has a series of short videos introducing skills that you are encouraged to practice in your daily life.

Occasionally we run live components to keep you motivated and accountable while working through this course, to find out when the next series of live workshop components are scheduled contact Nicky.
